Assigning a sound to caps lock

Okay, is the consensus that if I continue to type very rapidly and have only
words being read that there is no way for me to hear if I type word after
word after word with the caps lock on and then if I am fortunate to discover
this error, I must take a great deal of time to correct everything to type
it over correctly? I do spell check most Email messages as well and when
the Spell Checker comes to an "i" that is not capitalized, then I usually
know that I have typed the entire message in caps. Not a fun day.
Thanks always for your ideas.
