Hi Linksma,
I do not type quite that fast but the end result is the same. There is
no way I could hear the letters and that is why I really like that
obnoxious "beep". It flat gets my attention...

Hello! John,
I type extremely fast, more than 100 words a minute and I hear only
words flying by very rapidly, if at all. No way I could endure hearing
characters only because I would only hear a small portion of them which
would serve no purpose in typing without mistakes. It is impossible to
hear the first letter of a word with higher pitch at this speed. If I
typed much more slowly and have checked to read characters, then your
idea might work. Thanks though....
