Please don't take this as a criticism, I'm genuinely curious. What are the
negatives to having JAWS in the system tray?

well, I have JAWS 7.1 on my laptop right now for experimentation. I
personally don't like having JAWS in my system tray, but I'm just trying to
see what problems everyone is facing so I can help, and I had no problems
putting it in. I also now have this account set up in Outlook express, and so
far no problems there either. I'll keep everyone posted.

I didn't have a problem with the alt-control short cut either right after I
instaled Jaws 7.1 last night. I didn't have a problem getting Jaws to run
in my system tray either. Maybe it was because I had my 7.0 running in the
system tray and just murged my settings, but so far, I haven't had a lot of
the problems other people have. Not sure if that's a good sign or not.
