I didn't have that problem, at all. But I have noticed some difficulty in closing OE message windows. Whether using the escape key or alt-f4, they seem reluctant to close.

I still can't get the JAWS icon to appear in the sys tray; nor can I get an alt-ctrl shortcut hotkey to work with 7.1. No one has yet been able to remind me of how to fix the problem with the braille display of folder names on the start menu; and, now, I've found the problem with the reading of autocompleted text in the IE address bar.

All and all, I haven't yet found any advantages to 7.1, relevant to what I do with a computer, to make it worth putting up with these annoyances. I'm rolling back to 7.0, for now.

every single time I close outlook express out, it takes jaws out and I have to reboot the system to get it back, some times when composing messages it does it, with a couple web pages like www.nascar.com I see a lot of random crashes while browsing around with jfw 7.1, I see yahoo messenger support is removed though I'll try copying over the scripts from 7.0 for that if they'll fix the serious problems like the outlook express one. It's a mess and should never have been released, that problem with outlook express was there through all the betas on 2 computers I have, I got a new computer mid stream and had the same problem and I have a very common configuration here. I haven't put it on my laptop and won't bother until it's fixed but considering I can only contact FS through the web form since when I reply to their messages or send messages direct they bounce because of the spam filtering at FS. Just 1 problem after another and I only played with 7.1 for maybe 4 hours, who knows what other problems there are.

I'm not having any problem with JAWS 7.1 and OE. What, exactly, is your issue?

I've tried outlook and really don't like it at all which is why I stick with outlook express. There was no reason to mess with outlook express, but they
did and until that's fixed as well as a site I frequent crashing jaws 7.1, I'm going to stick with 7.0 and if it's not fixed in 8.0 I'm going to another
product.

yes, I know. that's the only reason I'm not installing 7.1 actually, because I
use both Outlook and Outlook express just as frequently. and I've been advised
to use firefox soon too. and if there's issues with that... well... yes. that's
no good. I think that there's almost no point in running software if it doesn't
work with the programs you use. I mean I'm going to install it and see how it
turns for me. maybe that way I can actually help you guys out a little more.
