This has to be one of the strangest quirks in Jaws 8. In fact, I experienced
this very same problem this afternoon. This is the second time and on each
occasion the problem lasted 3 to 4 minutes then voila, the problem simply
vanished. In my case both left and right alt keys were affected. I was about to
reboot when the problem simply disappeared..

Is this on a laptop? My laptop does this, occasionally. Not sure why.
But, just playing around with it makes it stop.

Subject: Alt Key Problem

Good morning everyone. I'm currently using Jaws 8.0 and Windows Vista Home
Premium. I am having a problem with 1 of my alt keys. Sometimes, when I go
to close a program with alt-f-4, I'll press the right alt key along with the
f-4 key and Jaws will say, alt-control-f-4. I thought I was having trouble
with both of my alt keys until I was having trouble with the right alt key
one day and press the left alt key with the f-4 key and it worked just fine.
The program I had open closed just like that. My right alt key doesn't act
up all the time, but when it does, it's a pain because it's the one I use
most to close programs that I have open. What could be my problem? Is there
something wrong with Jaws? Is there something wrong with my keyboard? Is it
a windows issue? I'd sure like to get this fixed. Any help would be
appreciated.

Cheers.

Geoff
