Bill,
Try turning on formatting in the JAWS options. Also go to the
tools/options
dialog and set various special characters to be visible.
You could also highlight all your text and change the style to body text,
which I think will remove all indents and outdents.

After trial and error, I've figured out that the problem was not with
alignment after all, but with the fact that a number of hanging indents
had
crept into the document, and of course I couldn't see them when they did.
Is there a way to remove only the hanging indents, or do I have to remove
all formatting from the document? That kind of seems like the nuclear
option, but I'm writing a novel and I really can't sound out my sentences
when they're broken up like this.

All I can say is, trial-and-error. Also I think there's a module on the
FS
web site describing the ribbon.

That's interesting.
In the older versions of MS Word, you could tap the alt key and go across
the bar and pick which pull down minue you wanted. Now you have these
ribbons.
My question to add to this mix is how do you find things like the format
things such as paragraph format, the ones where you can change your
margins
and the like if you don't happen to know the short cut keys.

Hi Everyone,
Are there keystrokes in Word 2007 for left, center and right alignment?
I'm finding it a pain to tab through all of the selections on the ribbon
for every instance and I have a huge document to edit.
Thanks,
Bill
