Gerardo,

As you've seen you can, but if you're asking if you can install Outlook
Calendar without installing the entire Outlook suite, you'll have to install
the whole bundle, and then why not just start using it? It also has a very
nice contacts interface and can be synchronized (both calendar and contacts)
to your cell phone if you wish.

Hi guys: This might sound a dumb question but can I also take advantage of
the calendar feature in Microsoft Outlook if I don't use Microsoft Outlook
for Email?

Not sure about Outlook 2010, but I think the keyboard commands haven't
changed all that much. To enter a new appointment, just press control plus
shift plus "A". This should, I am told, give you the same dialog box that
you get in Outlook 2003. Fill in the dates and times, and you're done.
JAWS should tell you if it overlaps with another appointment. I think we
sometimes get too hung up with the calendar metaphor. You don't have to be
on the particular square in the calendar in order to create an appointment
for that date.

OK, I'm trying to get used to the Outlook Calendar beast. I'm using Office
2010 and Jaws 12, along with Windows 7. I put it in week view, and that
helps with the virtual viewer--insert + "a" twice brings up a nice list for
the week. But I don't know how to navigate to a date, say, two weeks from
now, and enter an appointment on that date. Tabbed all around and couldn't
find anything. Finally used Zoomtext to get to the calendar table in the
left column, which Jaws was not picking up, and move to that week. But then
when I hit cntl n for a new appointment, it put me in on the Sunday of that
week. I know I can type the date in the edit box, but the appointment was
the third Wednesday and I wanted the calendar to tell me what that date
was. Just can't figure it out.

Also, the virtual ribbon wasn't active when I tried to get to the
reoccurrence button. Went to settings center, and it said that virtual
ribbon was checked, but it wasn't working in the calendar view.

Anyone know how to navigate in this area?

Really like the short cut key for the virtual viewer of appointments. Thanks
for that.

Put the view into day, week, month and then hit insert a and it puts you on
the first appointment and if it does not read the appointment just do jaws
key read line. The cool thing is if you do the insert a a you get the
vertural viewer and it list the day's appointments events etc. in groups.
i.e. events no events appointments 3 then each appointment.
