I dont' think my Free Edition can have its ctime changed.  I looked at the 
control center menus and this doesn't seem possible.

Why don't you schedule AVG so it runs at a time that you aren'ta on the
computer.  I've used this same program for many years and haven't had any
problems.  I have the scan to run about 2 o'clock in the morning when I'm
not on my computer.Your Friend
