I reported nero 7 crashing jaws to FS and they fixed it in jaws 9.0. So
sorry I disagree. They can fix issues if told about it.

Rick,

"Except for the Jaws issue?" I'm laughing. If I were to say I had a Jaws
issue with a piece of software, that would be my way of saying that I
couldn't use it very well or, more likely, couldn't use it at all. After
about 25 years of using computers, and learning my way around a lot of
different applications in their various releases, the only experiences I've
had with not being able to use one has been in the past few years since I've
needed Jaws, when it's not Jaws accessible. Now, I'm not at all distressed
if you're handy with this program, but what do you actually mean? At this
point, after all the messages that have been posted about AVG Version 8 Free
Edition, I'm beginning to get the impression that in fact it works just fine
with Jaws, reveals its menus and functions and accepts keyboard input and
everything, except just that you have to exit jaws when you launch it and
then restart Jaws, or else Jaws won't even see it or something like that.

I'm guessing I must be a little confused. If so, please set me straight. I'm
still chuckling. I'm sure I've misunderstood something.

thanks.

Has anyone bothered to notify Freedom Scientific about this. They probably
are going to have better luck at solving the pproblem than possibly grisoft.
Also for the record I'm using the free version of 8.0 here and except for
the jaws issue I don't seem to be having any problems using it at all so
far.

Hi, AVG are aware of the JAWS problem, however they have not yet released a
"patch" for AVG 8 that will work with JAWS. Sorry about that, but that's how
it stands. They hope to fix a release by the end of this year though.
