It may be a solution, however, it is unacceptable in my book. I should not
have to close the screen reader to open any program I work with.

Let me see. You have a problem. A solution is anything that solves the
problem right? Ok so in this case closing the screen reader and starting
the program is the solution because the problem is the program crashes when
the screen reader is loaded. So it might not be a solution you like it
might not even be a confeanut solution but it is one. So you have two
choices. Tell such time as a better answer is found use the solution given.
Or use another program.

Personally, shutting down the screen reader to open another app is not a
solution to me. AVG is now off my laptop!

Hi the version of avg 8 that is out works fine with jaws. You need to close
jaws before starting the user interface but a minor work around.

Does anyone know if there is a new AVG version 8 release that is out
that works with JAWS?
I understand that the original version 8 release was unfriendly to JAWS.
I want / need to upgrade from 7.5 and hoping that there is an accessible
version of AVG.
