ABC, Extreme Makeover Home

Dear Friends,

 

This Sunday, May 1, from 7 PM to 9 PM EDT on ABC, Extreme Makeover Home

Edition is featuring an accessible home for a blind St. Petersburg,

Florida resident, Jamie Dolan. He was blinded in a shooting on November

24, 2004.

 

Extreme Makeover Home Edition is showcasing several products, from

Independent Living Aids, including the Kelvin Talking Thermostat, and

items from other suppliers.

Freedom Scientific, contributed products, time,

and labor to the community-wide effort. Freedom Scientific contributed

JAWS®,

the SARA(tm) Scanning and Reading Appliance, a PAC Mate(tm) QX440, the

StreetTalk(tm) accessible GPS, and the FSReader DAISY player for both PAC

Mate and

Desktop.

 

Because of public interest and the broad content of this show, ABC has

extended the usual one-hour broadcast to two hours.

 

After the May 1st air date, clips from the series and product

information can be viewed on the Extreme Makeover Home Edition Web site.

 

Make sure to look at the show since this is a great opportunity to see

many products being used that you have heard about. Rather than just

reading descriptions of how they function, you will be able to see items
