  It will not hurt anything.  I have it on my machine with no ill effects.  Its 
necessary for getting things from MS now a days like defender and the new live

    Hi all, I started up mystem today and the windows feature of it told me 
there was a Windows Genuine Advantage Notification tool available for install.  
I am not sure if getting this update is a good idea as it doesn’t seem 
necessary to me and it might cause a problem.  I was wondering if any of you 
ever came across this and could advise as what to do.
