64 bit and Jaws

I know that Jaws can NOT take advantage of a 64 bit system. My question is,
will it still work on one?
If it makes any difference, using jaws 9 and still deciding whether Vista or
XP will be my OS of choice.
Yes, I'm purchasing a new computer.
