Hi Chip I am only encountering this Word problem on my laptop where I have XP Home; the latest Jaws 9 and Word 2000. On my desktop I have XP Home; latest version of Jaws 9 and Word 2003 and I have no issues there. ... Makes the problem even more complicated. That's on a vista system. I'm not seeing the problems on the same version of Word, and the same version of jaws 9, on a windows xp system. I believe you said you are using xp, so there's no obvious commonality here; yet, I'd like to see someone having this kind of problem who is not using jaws 9? Anyone out there using an earlier jaws and having these odd, multiple documents open and possibly changed or corrupted, problems in word? It's pretty vague I know, but I've been a word and jaws user, and support tech, for around 8 years, and only have seen this particular issue with the latest jaws 9 build.
