[jerusalem_coordinators] Three reminders

Dear coordinators,
Here are a few reminders for you:

1. The Jerusalem Showcase
Please share the wonderful work being done by your English staff and send
your short articles to orabaumgarten@xxxxxxxxx by April 26th, 2009 ב' אייר
תשס"ט


Topics can include:
Teachers/departments that use special styles or methods of
teaching, Projects in English, Methods of dealing with LD students in
English, Methods of dealing with weaker learners, Teaching Native Speakers,
Cross-curricular studies , English days, events, Computers in English
teaching, including  links English school sites, online projects, Creative
bulletin Boards ,Creative writing, Methods of dealing with gifted students ,
Transitions from 6th to 7th grade or 9th to 10th grade, Reading recovery
programs, Awards, Teachers that make a difference, Ofek Hadash, Teaching the
younger grades, In service training courses


2. The Jerusalem Spelling Bee
The finals Jerusalem Area spelling bee for eighth grade pupils will take
place at Ziv school on May 26th at 15.00. Please let Pat or me know if your
school is going to be participating, as we have to arrange for seating,
prizes, refreshments, etc on the day of the finals.


3. LD oral forms - special session on Wednesday May 6th at the Mahad.
Suzie Secemsci will be giving a session from 17.00-19.00 in which she will
be explaining exactly how to fill in the LD oral form

Please make sure your teachers come to this session so as to make sure that
their pupils get the appropriate accommodations for next year.
