Thanks for the suggestion. It seems reasonable. Maybe I should download
jaws9 demo and try it. Or better - if someone can send me the jaws9 message
file it would be nice.

Probably the easiest is to open your jaws 9 message file, find that
particular message, select & copy it, then open your jaws 8 message
file & paste it in there.
