John,
Add the following to your Attachmate script jcf. It will solve your
problem if there is no highlighted text in the terminal emulator.
Sometimes I get a little bleed through when I open the virtual viewer.
But I don't want to block all highlighted text speech by changing the
default.jcf.
[Options]
;Ignore the white text on black highlight created in JAWS 9 and use
custom only. (2/15/08)
UseCustomHighlight=2

Subject: [jawsscripts] Frames processing
Can someone tell me where in Jaws 9 is the processing done for
text that appears in a Jaws frame? It used to occur in NewTextEvent but
that appears to no longer be the case.
Also, is there any way to change what Jaws considers to be
highlighted text? I'm working in the Attachmate emulator and text that
under Jaws 6.2 was not considered highlighted (white on black) is now
considerd highlighted text in Jaws 9.
