[jawsscripts] Re: Two versions of an app

Hi,
Not needed unless you have the script set named
something other than the executable's name.

Thanks,

You can try not renaming the executable, and just copy the script set to
the scripts named something like Scratch18, , then using an entry in
ConfigNames.ini like
    ScratchLive=Scratch18
when using the 1.8 version scripts, then use a semicolon to comment out
that line when working with the 1.7 version.
    ;ScratchLive=Scratch18
This will cause the 1.8 script set to get used when you want them used,
and the original set used when using the older set.
The Confignames.ini is in the shared folder with all the original scripts
files.
If they had different major version numbers, then you could designate a
different set according to version number. For example:
    Outlook:10=Microsoft Outlook XP
    Outlook:11=Microsoft Outlook 2003
    Outlook:12=Microsoft Outlook 2007
but since both of your numbers are major version "1", it can't be used like
that until version "2" is released, then you could do:
    ScratchLive:1=Scratch
    ScratchLive:2=Scratch v2
    Hope this helps!

      Hey Guys,

Is it possible two have two versions of scripts for an app. Scratchlive
1.8 just came out, but It requires a lot of work so I want to keep Scratchlive
1.7.4 on my system until I have all of the time to make the necexxary
modifications. The problem is that the executable for both versions are
ScratchLive.exe. I tried to rename one of the executables to ScratchLive1.7.4,
and renaming the all of the script files to ScratchLive1.7.4.***, but I get
really weird things happening. Things don't seem to work this way. Any Ideas?
