[jawsscripts] Re: Stock Software

Hi Dennis:
I have been writing my own for years now. I use it to filter stocks and fixed
income investments, Manage my Portfolio and prepare some Tax Statement Reports.
Oh ya, I used to analyze several of the Main Stream Investment methods used by
companies like Zacks, S&P and others only to find them not much better than
just buying the index issues.
There are commercial stock picking and reporting packages out there, most based
on some form of Technical Analysis, but I've never used any of them since I
have my own Value Based Methodology. I produce various Fundemental and
Technical metrix then can sort a list of stocks on any of them removing any
that I research and find wanting from the list which I can save for later use.
Also, I have links to various web sites like Zacks, Market Watch and others to
check out their Metrix, Detail Financials, News and listen to Earnings Reports.
I just highlight any company in a list and click what I want to do in the
ToolStrip pull-downs.
I have varioius versions, all in various states of development or needing
repair except the original written in Liberty Basic. Most recently I'm
working on a Vb.net version of the Application using Sql Server Express for the
data repository.
Are you a Vb.net Programmer?
