Was in a development team meeting this morning, and we were discussing software product testing, and was just thinking that you could quite easily automate some form of bulk software product testing using jaws scripts. In other words, you could do something like install demo copies of jaws on something like 10 machines, install some jaws scripts to make them automatically go through a whole software use process, and let them all start up at around the same time, and do something like loop through various procedures like clicking buttons, hitting key strokes, typing in text - all along with pauses etc. if you wanted the timing to sort of match real world use - and the idea would be to get something like then backend server/database server get to experience some heavy load testing. I know there are other ways out there to do this, and I think there are some other automation applications out there as well, but was just thinking it would actually be relatively easy to implement using jaws and scripting. Just wondering if this is something anyone else has looked into before?
