Hi Andy,
To get yourself part of the way there, have a look at the default version of
the VirtualizeWindow function. Also have a look at the function called
HotKeyHelp from an application like Outlook or Word, which has those kinds of
links in them. You'd have to work out some way to move the JAWS cursor to the
names of the things you want to click on. Right now, I'm thinking of something
like JAWSFind, but that may not be what you want.
Hope that helps some.
Jim

Subject: [jawsscripts] Putting window contents into virtual buffer
I am using a program that manages money. It is called AceMoney. In the
accounts list, I have to use the jaws cursor to see the accounts and their
balances. I was wondering a few things. Given that the only thing that
appears to stay the same is the window's control type, How would you do the
following:
1. Put the restrictiveText of the window inside the virtual buffer, and
2. Since you can click the account name with the jaws cursor, turn the
account names into links in the virtual buffer that performs the left click
on the account name in question.
The window's control type is 0 and the way you can tell if you are in the
accounts list is based on the application's title text which has the
following information: The only information on the application window that
stays the same is the real name which would be "Accounts-AceMoney"
How would I go about working on this problem?
