Ah, nearly all of what I do is in c/c++. That doesn't require a great
deal of the UI doodads the IDE offers.
I tried using the MS SQL server tools awhile back, that was pretty
much a no-go. Easier to just write out files and run them through
isql than to use the visual design tools. Although I also know that's
what people who know what they are doing would do anyway.
