I have used Remedy in my more sighted days. There are two versions a
web based one and a 'fat' client. Which one are you using, and have you
tried the other one?

I expect that these days Remedy uses a lot of JAVA to make in more
system independent. You might want to see if JAVA appears in your
system tray and if so make sure that the Java access bridge is installed
on your computer.

Subject: [jawsscripts] Inquiry regarding Jaws and remedy action request
system

Hi, folks, I'm Brian Zolo with the Defense Information Systems Agency
here in Columbus, Ohio. I have an opportunity to work with our call
center here at Defense Enterprise Computing Center here in Columbus,
Ohio. They use an application to manage trouble tickets called the
remedy action request system. There is a commercial off the shelf
version of this application as well as a customized version of this
application that we use here. There are graphical drop down menus which
Jaws doesn't pick up, I've used this application in the past and did
have the ability to close tickets but additional scripting needed to be
done so that I could open tickets. Does anyone know of scripts that
have been written for this application and if so, is there someone using
this application successfully? Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated so as not to have to re-invent the wheel so to speak, grin!
I've done mainframe security work here using Jaws in conjunction with
Rumba but the mainframe work is gone, and there are significant
challenges with accessibility to some of our web based applications we
use here in the computer security area, so need to try to get into an
area where I can be better utilized. Thanks so much for any assistance
you can offer. My e-mail address is brian.zolo@xxxxxxxxxxxx, and I can
be reached at 614-692-7124, or on my cell phone at 614-271-1695. Have a
great day, and I look forward to hearing from you folks, have a great
day, and really enjoy the list. BZ!
