The one thing you have to watch with the Delay function is that
keystrokes will cancel the delay. So for example, if a delay(10) (one
second pause) is executing, and the user presses a key, the delay will
terminate. I even believe all subsequent delays in the same function
will be skipped at that point, though it's been a while since I tested
this. I don't believe the Pause function can be cut short by a
keystroke.

Hi Bob, The "pause()" function tells jaws to wait for the application to
complete its activity before sending the next command. It is generally
reliable except for a few cases. I do not know on what criteria it makes its
decition but that is why using the delay function often can work around it. I
by habit use the delay function for its reliability.

Hi Michael, in order to write scripts for your programs to be accessible, I
believe, that the Pauses tell jaws when to stop speeking! if you go under your
start menu, and go under programs, find jaws 12.0! then go under tools, and
explore the manuals, you'll find the basics of scripting manual! also if you go
to Freedom Scientifics web page, click on the link that says documentation, and
you'll find the FSDN! that is a functions reference guide to writing scripts,
and exploreing functions! also, you can search for a particular function! Hope
this helps! best regards Bob Edenhofer! kc2mxg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
