Hi,
I can vouch for the power of HSC - it's saved me countless hours of coding.
Good to see you still promoting it, Mr. Chapman - how the devil are you,
sir?
Best wishes.

function lists?
David, Control+I, should do this for you whilst inside a script or function.
tab once when your in here and you'll be taken to the list of functions from
which you can pick.
as you arrow up and down you'll hear a small description of what each
function does, with occasional help as to how to utilize it.
and you can reRead the descriptions manually by tabbing over to the relevant
box.
But in my view,
you do kinda gotta know a bit about what your doing, because the
descriptions are sometimes fairly criptic to a newby.
Plus many functions may ask you for various further parameters as you step
through inserting them into your script, which you do kinda have to know a
bit about where you might find those/how you might go about grabbing the
values for each one.
Scripting's not a simple deal really.
I confess David I didn't totally understand your last message about spybot,
and the search word, and the update button you indicated you wanted to try
and make a script to click on reliably for you?
I couldn't quite follow that. now, as I think I've probably asked you
before, have you considered installing hotSpot clicker to get the desired
functionality to this spybot app that you wish to drive more easily?
rather than trying to script it?
Although it too requires some understanding to operate effectively, re,
insuring you remove dynamic information from each windowname as it is
presented, and only leaving info that you are sure is going to be static and
not change, I really honestly believe it might get you to where you wanna
be, more quickly, due to it's predominantly wizard driven front end, than
scripting is going to do. at least if you are not experienced at scripting.
Getting Hotspot clicker up and running with app's though, is a two pronged
process.
1. installing hotspot clicker on your system itself. and
2. tying it in to any applications for which you wish it to be active.
this latter step does involve a bit of manual and careful pasting work, and
can be a tad tricky if the application's already got some scripts working
for it, and you wanna integrate HSC with those scripts, but, if you feel
unconfident about studying the hsc help file about this and following it's
instructions, send me the spybot scripts your using, just the jss will do,
and I will configure it for you, such that if you've got hsc installed, when
you paste this jss and new jsb back into your user settings folder, then
altTab into spybopt for the first time after this, it should create the
necessary jkm keyboard insersions, to render hsc active for that
application.
