Sorry about the delay Andre, I had to go out.  I'm using a stone age 32 bit 
system running XP Home, and %HOMEPATH% in the run dialogue puts me in:

C:\Documents and Settings\{username}

The final backslash which you included doesn't seem to make any difference.
