John,
I tried to stop the white text on black from automatically speaking by
using a full screen frame on the PCOM terminal emulator. It seems that
the frame silencing is broken in JAWS 9 or it is allowing
SayHighlightedText to fire even if the frame is silenced. I have
reported this as a bug.

Subject: [jawsscripts] Frames processing
Can someone tell me where in Jaws 9 is the processing done for
text that appears in a Jaws frame? It used to occur in NewTextEvent but
that appears to no longer be the case.
Also, is there any way to change what Jaws considers to be
highlighted text? I'm working in the Attachmate emulator and text that
under Jaws 6.2 was not considered highlighted (white on black) is now
considerd highlighted text in Jaws 9.
