[jawsscripts] Re: Exploring a new application with JAWS

I don't really think the company needs jaws since they want a "read our 
application" use, what they need is a voice synthesizer, and although jaws 
does make it nicer, eloquence can be purchased with usability information 
direct from the folks who own it, as can other synthesizers such as the 
nuance speech engine and the though horrible, Microsoft SAPI TTS engine all 
of which can be integrated to read anything presented on your kiosk screen.

and the price is far far less this way than utilizing a copy of jaws per 
machine, a lot cheaper!

I think it's risen since I last dealt with it, but eloquence was at one time 
charging 5 dollars a copy, and nuance is on my haven phone, the phone in 
total retails for 160 dollars I got it for 50, and the nuance synthesizer 
speaks everything in the menu's so its there for less than fifty.
