Hi Brian,
In XP, I would go to the Start menu, then to Program files, then the JAWS
version I have installed, then Explore JAWS, then Explore My Settings, and
press Enter. That puts me in the folder where my scripts are. I would find the
Homer folder there and delete it. I would then get rid of any scripts and other
stuff that start with a whole host of things I can't remember that include
homer, edit, notepad, wordpad, msaa, and so on. If I were you, I'd back up that
directory before getting rid of anything. Then, I'd get rid of everything, and
bring back anything that I know should be there, like default.jcf, default.jdf,
keycodes.ini, and any other custom scripts you have that are not Homer. There's
no way for me to tell what you already have on your machine. If worse comes to
worse, you can always do a repair on your JAWS and start again and change JAWS
by handd back to the way you like to run it, then add the EdSharp installation.

Jim,ok now you are really going to get frustrated with me. Where would I
find the homer folder? I have looked in C:programfiles/freedomscientific/
and found nothing anywhere in there. Is there somewhere else they would have
been installed? Also when I open up JSS files for a program such as
Microsoft word there is latterly only one script; one saying "use homer" and
then some little void function. There is nothing else. What is up with that?
Thanks again for your help I am so frustrated with this. All I want to do is
learn how to use the functions to write better scripts for JAWS I did not
want all this mess. Talk to you soon.

Hi Brian,
First of all, you don't need Homer if you just want to use EdSharp. Here's
what to do.
1. Delete all the scripts that have to do with Homer.
2. Delete the Homer folder.
3. Open EdSharp.
4. Press F11. Let it install. Pick the option that installs the JAWS
scripts.
That should fix you up.

Thank you James,I did in fact press incert plus 3 and the key strokes do
work. Is there a reason why installing Homer did this configuration? Is
there a way to remove Homer? I am trying to learn how to script for jaws so
I read somewhere that Homer would help with this. How does it help exactly?
Also I downloaded WinDig and cannot figure that whole mess out either. Was
downloading these tools pretty much a waste of time and harddrive space?

I was wondering if anyone knew how to uninstall Homer from your scripts? I
installed Homer from Elfs grab bag site and now none of my programs are
working correctly. Did I do something wrong? Align left and right does not
work in word, save does not work. Exit in outlook does not work and I am
pretty confused here. Can anyone help? Better yet can someone help me figure
out why this is happening? thanks
