Hi Ann,
If you only wish to pass the key through you could try the following:
Script SayPriorLine()
  If IsPCCursor() Then
    TypeKey ("uparrow")
  Else
    PerformScript SayPriorLine()
  EndIf
EndScript

By doing this you will override the default behaviour of Jaws for the UpArrow 
key as long as the PC
Cursor is active.

To find out what script is bound to a key you can enter keyboard help mode with 
insert + 1 and then
press the desired key three times quickly.
