Perhaps you were thinking of GetWindowStyleBits()?
I haven't checkd the available constants to see what exactly it returns but
it may be worth a check...

Fair enough, but I managed to convince (delude) myself that there was a
method for interrogating the window's property. Good suggestion, though,
and it'd be workable in my context, I think.

Best wishes.

I don't recall such a function.

This could be dependent on your application, but I have noticed that some
apps hide the Maximize button when the app is maximized, or replace it with
a "Restore" button.
If your app in question does this you could write a function that returns
yes or no depending on which button(s) are present in the window.

Or sometimes the Maximize option on the application menu (Alt+Space) is
greyed out when the window is maximized. I'd look for a way to tell without
opening the menu if possible first, but it's a possibility as well.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [jawsscripts] Detecting maximisation

Hi,

My aged brain seemed to recall there being an IsMaximized function, but I
can't find it in the FSDN. Have I imagined this, or has it been deprecated.
If it no longer exists (or if it never existed), can anybody suggest a
method for detecting if a given window is maximised.

Best wishes.
