I think the one you are talking about was also sold at Wal-Mart for $20 and
if that's the one it was a Logitech and it's software was pretty friendly as
far as web cam software goes.  Lot's of mouse use but useable none the less.

ok, I have a fragmented bit of info on that.

there was a 20 dollar webcam that was bought for me from target stores, I 
can't remember the name of it, but physically it was a side ways oval, and 
came with a folding base stand for table top use, and a separate clip on 
stand to clip to the top of a laptop, its own software which I found to be 
fairly accessible, though I needed some help to identify a few graphics and 
used the jaws cursor a lot with it, but I was able to get all aspects 
working for me.

I intend to hunt it down again and hope its still that way in its newer 
models (it was taken from my possession) and get set up again.

if I get to that soon I'll do my best to post the name and model number out 
here, but if you have access to the stores, and can return things readily 
enough so you don't get stuck with something that doesn't work, I'd give 
there place a try.

I don't remember the brand name, but I know it wasn't a "popular" brand, 
like creative, which I tried one of those and it was inaccessible, so poke 
around in there "bargain brands"
