[JAWSLite] the control e feature and jaws

I have internet explorer 7 and my default engine is google. When you hit control e you hear edit and you can just type in what ever you are searching for. All of a sudden jaws no longer lets me hear what I have typed in that edit box. it just says google edit. What is it.
