Thanks very much. For some reason I never would have looked there. I
considered it primarily an html issue but since ms Word and othr apps can
have tables, I should have thought of it.

The control of the speaking of table information in the Configuration
Manager has moved from the HTML Options to the Text Processing Options in
JAWS 7 & 8. Look for the Indicate Tables option in Text Processing. If
you want to just turn off tables in IE, update the IE connfiguration. If
you want to turn them off everywhere, update the Default configuration.

Somehow I've got my ie7 display telling me every time there's a table and
how many columns and rows it has. I can see how to turn this off with
insert-v but can't find any way to turn it off in the html options of the
configuration manager. Obviously it was off until recently, so, does
anybody know what I need to change?
