Please accept our sincere apologies for delays on developing our new product

issue this year.

In the meantime, you are welcome to continue to use Ad-Aware SE Personal for
as long as we are able to provide updates to Ad-Aware SE's threat database.

Lavasoft plans to continue to provide updates to the Ad-Aware SE threat
database well into this year.

In order to continue to keep Ad-Aware SE Personal updated, you will need to
perform manual updates when new Definitions Files are released. Here are the
instructions for performing a manual update for Ad-Aware SE.

- Close Ad-Aware SE.
- Download the latest Definitions File in ZIP format here

 and save the file to a temporary location.

- Unzip the contents of the file either with a ZIP utility or with the
built-in support in Windows to the Ad-Aware SE installation directory, which
usually is "C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE\".

- Open Ad-Aware SE.
- Confirm that the latest Definitions File is installed by checking the
"Initialization Status" in the main program window.

Has anybody else encountered a problem with Ad Aware updates erroring out? I
tried to update my Ad Aware definitions this morning and got an error in the
download.  Then I uninstalled my existing Ad Aware and installed it all over
again; only to find that now instead of my Definitions being a mere 50 or so
days out of date they are now 900 something days out of date.  And I still
get the error when trying to update my definitions.

I do have SpyBotSD also installed, but I do like to have a couple of spyware
utilities to work with just to make darn sure I find those nasty little
spies!

I am running XP Pro, and running jaws 9 latest update. Since add aware won't work now, what to use, where to get it, and how to use it? My virus program is AVG pro edition. Its subscription will run out in a month, so any good ideas are appreciated.
