[JAWSLite] Re: sing a mouse with Jaws on a laptop

Seeing your message Inthane reminds me that there's another program
(there was anyway) to aid blind users who wanted to use a mouse. It was
called I feel pixel (perhaps made into a single word), and it used a
force-feedback mouse to give you a "feel" for the objects on the screen
as you moved over them. It was supposed to aid you in locating objects
you already knew to be on the screen, but didn't know quite where they
were. It was supposed to be improved so that with practice, you would
be able to feel the outline shape of objects on the screen, to get an
idea of both their location and their size. =20

You could use it in conjunction with a screen reader, and when I tried
it on the desktop, jaws did read the icon titles as I moved the mouse
pointer between them with the aid of I feel pixel.
