[JAWSLite] Re: should I uninstall the HTML files?

rosemary, take it easy gal, its not that big a thing.

firstly, if you go to the file you wish to open, hit your applications key,
go down to "open with" (or hit h for it) and enter on that, a list will come
up that should have internet explorer in it, enter on that to quick open the
file.

2. somehow things got goofed up on your machine. here's my version of how to
fix it:
1. go to control panel
2. go to "folder options" and enter on it.
3. control tab to the "file types" tab
4. you wind up in a list here, hit H and T in rapid succession, it should
take you to "ht, hyper terminal file"
arrow down a few times and you will find an entry that should read "HTML,
HTML file" without the quotes
5. tab over to the details for... change button and enter on it.
6. you will get an open with dialog box here, select internet explorer then
tab to "always use this program to open this file type" check box and make
sure its checked, using your spacebar if you need to.
7. tab to the ok button and enter.
8 tab to the ok button (again) and enter on it.
9. close out control panel and try your shortcut again, it should work
correctly from now on.

take care,
