Ok, I have a pet peeve about jaws9 -- I just typed the french "hors
d'oeuvres", which is the right spelling for the english phonetic spelling of
"or durves"
In past versions of jaws, jaws had this string in its dictionary and
pronounced it correctly. But in jaws 9 I get a mess of syllables with the
apostrophy spoken (as I have all punctuation speaking -- but this is
overridden if the string is in the dictionary).
So what's with FS removing this common string from the dictionary?
Note: I did indeed spell it correctly with the r after the v -- the english
pronounce it wrong.
Anyway, I am putting it in my dictionary, and might even tweak it a little
to use my late aunt's pronunciation of "horses divorces"... *smile*
Maybe I'll take a break now so I can munch on some...*smile*
