I don't recall seeing the post you're referring to, but I'm curious as to
what you mean by speeding up JAWS. Are you running it on a system with very
few resources? Do you notice a responsiveness or performance problem with
JAWS? Obviously, you need to be careful assigning resources or priorities to
JAWS because you don't want to starve the application you're trying to use
with JAWS. I've never had a issue with JAWS where I've been tempted to mess
around with the resources or priorities of the system.
BTW, I run a utility called Anvir Task Manager, and with this utility I can
go into the Processes tab, find the JFW process and then change it's
priority or affinity, i.e. which processors it's allowed to run on.

Subject: [JAWSLite] message about speeding up JFW
Hello all,
I'm not sure that the message I'm interested in was posted on this list
or not. At any rate, someone posted a message that suggested that JFW or
any running application can be speeded up by assigning more processing time
to the process. I no longer have that e-mail and I wish to re-read it for
another use at work. The message was posted in the last three weeks. If
anyone has this post, can you please re-post it or send it to me privately
at
John.good@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you,
John
