R A- No, I was referring to something posted several months ago.  He said that 
every time you update JRE, you need to re-install the access bridge.  I've been 
doing that, installing over the top, and so far that appears to work- without 
anny un-installing of the access bridge.

You only uninstall it if you want to return to the originally installed version 
of the access bridge.

Steve- Sorry I'm late here- have been out of the office for a few days.
 
Another list member previously stated that it is necessary to re-install the 
access bridge evry time you update JAVA JRE.  
 
To tell if the bridge is working, go to control panel, launch JAVA, then tab 
and see if the controls are being read to you.  HTH
