I'm having the similar problem, the alt number keys will read the messages
but they won't read automatically.

Hi all,
I am running vista home basic and the latest update of Jaws 8.0.
When I am using Windows Live messenger my incoming and outgoing messages are
not automatically spoken. Is this a problem with Jaws 8.0 with Vista or is
there something I can do to change it?
Thanks,
Belinda
