Can you turn auto correct off?

Interesting you should say that. I've turned all auto-correcting off
because the MS programs insist that I want to use two spaces after a
period when I don't.

Bruce,

Perhaps the question goes to the practice of several application
designers
of imposing their rules on the user. I'm one of those who prefers two
spaces after a period when writing prose, but MS OE and other programs
insist on correcting my double spaces to single spaces. I'm guessing
that's
the issue, but I don't have a universal answer. I find that each program
requires different adjustments.
