Hi. You will not wear it out. If you want to change the way the braille
cursor looks then:
Under JAWS Options select braille
Tab to advance
Tab to cursor settings
Select PC cursor
Tab from cursor 7, 8to blinking rate
Down arrow and select always up or always down.

I recently bought a used Pac Mate. I have gotten the braille display
working with jaws on my PC. But I have 2 questions:

1. Can I turn off the cursor? It displays the cursor location and the
dots go up and down once a second or so. It's a bit annoying and I'd
like to turn it off.

2. Am I going to wear it out? Should I disconnect it when I'm not using
it?
