[JAWSLite] Re: a curious problem.

jfw has been set as a service all along.. problem still persists. I can
reboot, and it goes away, but when I open up weather aloud it comes back
again.

Does the problem clear itself up after a reboot? If so, it might be that you
restarted JFW as an application instead of a service. You can try starting
JFW as a service to see if that helps. You can find instructions at
http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_support/BulletinView.asp?QC=754.

It might also be that something else that happened on your PC, such as an
automatic update of the video device driver or the change in some display
settings. You can try doing a repair of JFW (as others have suggested) or
running the Video Intercept Manager.

I hope that helps.

I just initialized the scriptsandstill the problem persists. It has never
happened to me for the 8 years I have had weather aloud. The support guy
just told me the program hasn't changed at all. Could a worm or such be in
my computer to cause this?

hmmm, it sounds like something in WA is knocking the scripts out of wack to
me, something that might assist is hitting insert control escape, this will
re-initialize the scripts for the current location that jaws is in, and
might clear things up.

next thing that comes to mind, have you repaired your install of jaws in the
recent past, if not I would give that a try, and see if things don't go
better afterwards.
