Hi -- where are you located? in NC I used to used roadrunner with TimeWarner
and had no problems... The only thing I would complain about was the
awkwardness of using their website to change your email passwords. But even
there it is accessible for the most part; just a little roundabout.
One thing I would also say has more to do with their tech support -- they
have the most convoluted setup to handle calls to tech support -- you talk
to one person who informs you after you're blue in the face trying to
explain the problem, that he/she is only the answering service and you need
to be transferred to tech support; then you have to repeat everything you
said to begin with as there is no mechanism to convey what you said, or your
home phone or anything, to the techy; then the techy who is at the national
roadrunner help desk informs you that your problem is a local problem so you
have to transfer again and repeat all your info yet again. Then heaven help
you if the problem needs to be "escalated" to a specialist. You're in for a
long wait for someone to get back to you.
Once when I was having an email problem I got escalated as the problem had
something to do with the server's spam filter. I ended up exchanging email
to customercare@somethingorother, who eventually solved the problem. Fine.
But I kept that email addy for future reference in case of a similar
problem. As luck would have it I did have a problem and sent them email
directly, only to be informed that I had to go through the help desk and if
they couldn't solve it there I would have to be escalated again.
So I guess TW isn't a bed of roses, but is anyone else any better?
Happy surfing.

Subject: [JAWSLite] Your Experience with Time Warner Road Runner?
Hi.
While in the process of moving apartments, I've been trying to start a new
Internet and phone service. Verizon has proven very difficult to work with.
Now I'm looking into Time Warner Road Runner. does anyone have experience
using TW's Internet service with JAWS? Any problems?
Thanks.
