I actually have a copy of the homer kit I downloaded, but I haven't tried it
out yet.
Will give it a go.

Hi Jacob,
Jamal's Homer Kit will allow you to first set a marker in text and then go
the the other end of the block and select to the marker.
I believe it works in Notepad, Wordpad and in Outlook and perhaps OE.
Maybe someone here has the direct link?

Yup, I use that one often in windows explorer etc., but like I said, I'm
specifically sort of looking os some sort of selection functionality in
'text' files/editors.
In the old days I would just have left the cursor in a certain place, and
used the mouse to scroll down using the scroll-bar, and then, holding in
the
'shift' key, just have clicked at the second point, but, obviously, that
won't work using jaws. Not easily anyway since you'd sort of have to use
the
Jaws cursor to 'find' the scroll-down symbol without actually knowing how
far down you were actually going.

like a snap to slection point? uh... you can use control plus down arrow
and space bar for noncontiguous items in a list, but as far as text goes,
I don't think so.

Subject: [JAWSLite] Text selection
Hi all
Is there a way to toggle text selection on/off.
What I mean, is, is there a way to sort of tell windows to 'start
selection here', then navigate/move down to somewhere else, and then
basically toggle on the selection from the 'starting point up to where
you now are?
Just something I've been wondering about for a while now.
Regards
Jacob Kruger
