Two or three years ago, before Webvisum, I found at least one website
quickly changed the code, so even if I was on the verge of making out the
first code, it went away and I had to start all over again deciphering a
second. If I'm not mistaken, it was Craig's List. Fortunately, Webvisum
takes away all the aggravation.

If it's a hard one to hear I'll use something like goldwave to record the
audio captcha and then boost the volume and play it over and over till I
have all the numbers or letters or words.

Some people have no problem with the audio captcha. I am not one of them. I
am unable to use it. But it is very usable to some.

there is no way you can hear that audio captucha that is widely used today.
You hear a bunch of people talking like you are in a bar or something and
the different people who say the numbers sound like they are drunk. I either
contact the web people and explain the problem or do not use the site.

The best way to sign up with Yahoo groups without sighted help is to use
Firefox with Webvisum, the add on that magically deciphers these annoying
on-screen codes otherwise known as image captias.

Has anyone figured a way without sighted help to get around the codes that
you must copy in order to sign up for the various Yahoogroups? There is a
contact link for the visually impaired but in all the years I've tried to
use it, I have never been contacted as promised. This continues to enrage
me.
