I went into the View Menu, and I believe I unchecked "Folder List" and I can
now just hit Control + Y and the folder list will come up. Then, of course,
you know what to do... Arrow up or down and hit Enter on the one you want.
Also seems to make it easier to read messages.

Hey All
In outlook when in the treview how do I get it so that jaws does not put me
in every folder I land on automatically. For example if I am going down and
land on calendar it moves me in to that and so on for every folder. Instead
I want to be able to move up and down through the list and tab around on my
own. I hope someone understands what I am asking.
