thanks, smile, but I think he has a multi problem here.

one maximize the O.E. window, (alt and spacebar and X)

then open your view menu, go down to the layout... sub menu and enter on 
that.

when the layout window opens up, tab across to "show preview pain " checkbox 
and enter on it to uncheck it.

you also should go into the tools menu, open the options dialog, go to the 
read tab (control and tab until read is said) and tab across and, if the 
"Automatically download message when viewing in the Preview Pane" checkbox 
is checked, enter on it to uncheck that as well, its safer that way.
