I'm guessing someone has activated the MS speech recognition tool. First check
under the tools menu and see if speech is checked. If it is, uncheck it. Then,
if memory serves correctly, you'll have to go into Control panel under regional
and language settings and look around there. You should find something to do
with speech recognition in there if it has been activated, and just uncheck any
references. It's been a long time since I had that problem, so I can't be more
specific than that.

Subject: [JAWSLite] MS Word & microphone & Spell Check
Hi,
When I try to do Spell check first in Word, Jaws always says, "microphone
tool" and doesn't read like it normally would. In OE, also in spell check,
there is a long delay before Jaws speaks or often times, Jaws doesn't speak at
all.
Please advise.
Best,
Lauren
